Rare 1795 Lrg George III Mahogany Tilt Top Table All Original fittings 75cm VGC. A Strong and sound table. Wooden pads were added to the feet in 1870 by the second owner The Dowager Lady Rachel Selina Decima Bateman-Hanbury, daughter of the Original owner General Sir Edward Kerrison 1st Baronet. The table was then passed down to my friend Mr Ian Charles Hill-Wood via his Grandfather Sir Samuel Hill-Wood, son of Lady Rachel Selina Decima Bateman-Hanbury. I inherited the table in 2010. Original metal plate with hand made nails holding the central pillar and legs. A fascinating piece of furniture. Table owned by the same family for 240 years.
