Antique victorian bench with slim table/bench top, mechanical mechanism. Cast iron base with wooden seat, wooden lower shelf and table top, the table top can be tilted using the mechanical mechanism. Overall measurements are approx 183cm wide, base is approximately 60cm deep. Table top 78cm tall, seat approx 46.5cm tall. Depth of the table top is about 29cm. In good condition, has been used in an antique shop to display items but would make a nice bench, shelf or other if you have the space. Antique GEORGIAN GEORGE III Oak Snap / Tilt Top Tripod Table c1780. Snap / Tilt Top Table. This is a lovely GEORGE III oak snap / tilt top table which is a very useful. The table has been made out of the most wonderful oak and has a superb three piece top. The table has a wonderful cannon turned pedestal with three super splayed pad feet. The table could be use as a dining / supper table and stored away when not required. Equally it could be used as a lamp stand or side table. The table has a wonderful patina which has been difficult to capture in the photographs. The approximate dimensions are. 28 inches high when table top down. 32.25 inches in diameter across table top. As can be seen from the above dimensions this table is of lovely proportions. This is a lovely GEORGE III table which dates to circa 1780. The condition of this piece is very good as can be seen from the photographs, just minor marks / knocks commensurate with age and careful use, which is superb considering the age of this piece. Very few marks as to be expected from an item of this age, but nothing that detracts. Other photos available upon request. Ideal for your pub, club, bar, restaurant, church, chapel, cathedral, castle, grade 1 or 2 listed building, shop, boutique etc. Also look great in kitchens, dining rooms and entrance halls, suitable for both the modern and traditional interior, or indeed, ideal for the conservatory. Antique 18C Georgian elm oak tilt top side occasional supper table

Antique 18C Georgian elm and fruitwood tilt top side occasional supper table. This is a fantastic piece of elm country furniture that is very rare and hard to find. Elm is a wood similar to oak, however it usually has a lighter colour, with a very distinctive character, appearance and grain pattern. A lovely piece of antique furniture of with the huge sense of age that only period elm can give. With a great colour, age and patina, this table has an attractively turned stem with a characterful tripod base. Solid with no loose joints and the tilt mechanism works ok. Would look great in the right location. Dimensions: Overall 770mmL x 580mmW x 740mmH. There are loads of historic knocks, marks, cracking, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is to be expected for this type of antique furniture. There have been historic repairs /alterations to the tripod base and there is some metal strapping underneath (but it is all solid now). There is distortion in the top and base as is usual and adds to the charm of this piece. There is a later catch. The top has been recently refinished, but it retains much of its character and patina. There are some historical wood worm holes that have been treated for good measure…. This is to be expected with elm. Please remember that this is a large fragile item, needing to be handled safely and with care, when evaluating our charges (which are usually less than our true costs). Country Made Late Georgian Oak Tripod Table. Quite a chunky tilt top table with a simple wooden turn to lock the top into position, not the more commonly found brass mechanism. The birdcage block supporting that top with turned finials is an interesting feature, not often seen. The 4 piece top has had some shrinkage filled. We have added the hessian strips to the top of the block to reduce any movement when in use. Some signs of long dead historic woodworm. Approx Sizes: 30″ Diameter; 28.5″ High. Lovely antique mahogany/oak tilt top table in original condition. Tilts up and down correctly and secures with the catch. Sweetest inlaid details around the borders and the star in the middle. The top is a single plank solid piece of wood. The table is thoroughly cleaned, waxed and ready to use. Looks stunning in any setting. Perfect for any room: lamp table, entrance table, side table for the bedroom… Its high enough to use as a work station too. Easy to move around and store. I decided to leave all the age marks and imperfections which I think just adds to the charm of this lovely piece. Dimensions are : top 52 x 53 cm, hight 78 cm, 96 cm when tilted. The chair and candlesticks featured are also listed for sale. Please note that this is an antique piece of furniture. Although the condition is brilliant- you should remember it has been around for many years therefore its not unusual if item has some dents and imperfections which is part of its history.
